Jafarzadeh
Mitra Jafarzadeh is an American minister of Persian descent focused on supporting organizations and individuals through transitions of all kinds, including trauma, grief, growth, and transformation. Throughout decades of service as minister and senior minister, Mitra taught courses, trained and mentored community leaders and staff, and engaged in interfaith and cross-denomination dialogue and collaboration with religious leaders and community activists both locally and nationally.

Rabbi Jonathan
Cohen
Jonathan Cohen is an Israeli born scholar and rabbi who served as faculty member, director of an academic center, campus dean, and senior rabbi. Jonathan has been a board member of arts, social service, and denominational as well as interfaith organizations. He brings extensive experience in teaching and mentoring, coaching, organizational consulting, governance support, fundraising and budgeting, human resources, project management, and community building and organizing.
Mitra and Jonathan have known each other and collaborated in a range of interfaith initiatives and services throughout the past dozen years. Following the events of October 7th, 2023, they joined forces across religious and ethno-national divides to build and strengthen relationships and communities dedicated to dignity, trust, meaning, and growth. In the face of polarization and isolation, Courage and Covenant offers a dignified locus for reflection, learning, and identity formation, and community. It serves individuals, communities and organizations, faith-based congregations, and interfaith networks.
